Montreal's Saint-Laurent Boulevard
Saint-Laurent Boulevard is sometimes referred to as The Main. It is the central street that divides Montreal’s western English-speaking population from it’s French-speaking counterpart on the East side. Saint Laurent is a street where you will find great restaurants, great shopping and an incredible nightlife.
This boulevard runs past many of Montreal's popular neighborhoods. Some of these neigborhoods include Little Italy, Chinatown and Little Portugal. Various art galleries, festivals and cultural organizations make Saint-Laurent their home.
The street is closed off to cars twice a year, in the summer, for Saint-Laurent's famous street festival. These festivals occur in mid-June and the weekend before Labour Day.
